In an interview with CNN 360 this Thursday afternoon (21), the promoter of Gaeco de Presidente Prudente Lincoln Gakyia stated that the influencer and lawyer Deolane Bezerra represents a "new face of the PCC (Primeiro Comando da Capital).

Deolane was arrested this Thursday morning on suspicion of participating in the faction's money laundering scheme - investigated under the responsibility of Gakiya.

According to the prosecutor, the "new face" refers to that formed by people who joined the PCC, without necessarily being factionalized with it.

"She is not a baptized member of the PCC, but she is a fundamental player for the faction and for faction leaders to use these people to launder money [...] In her case [Deolane], private accounts were used illegally to hide money", highlighted Gakyia.

In addition to Deolane, Operation Vérnix, carried out this Thursday by President Prudente's Gaeco (Special Action Group to Combat Organized Crime), also targeted Marcos Willians Herbas Camacho, known as Marcola, the main leader of the PCC.

The case drew even more attention because Marcola has already been imprisoned for years in a federal penitentiary in Brasília, but received an arrest warrant anyway.

The investigation that led to the influencer's arrest attributes her a central role in the alleged financial mechanism observed by the operation. In one of the excerpts from the police report, investigators state that Deolane would function as a "real cash register" for the PCC, hiding resources and allowing their circulation with the appearance of legality.

In practice, the expression used by investigators does not refer to the physical custody of money. Laundering scheme
The investigations revealed a million-dollar financial mechanism used to hide, dissimulate and reinsert into the formal economy values linked to the top leadership of the PCC criminal faction.
