Defense will take details about Bolsonaro's health to Moraes
Lawyers for Jair Bolsonaro (PL) want to present to Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF (Supreme Federal Court), updated details about the former president's health.
Reports presented in the case file indicate that Bolsonaro continues to have complications and requires special care.
The expectation, according to CNN, is that the former president's defense will meet with Moraes next Tuesday (28).
In addition to health issues, Bolsonaro's representatives will bring to the minister a promise of full respect for the precautionary measures defined by the Supreme Court.
Bolsonaro completed 90 days at home last Thursday (25). The tendency was for Moraes to renew the benefit automatically.
The seizure of a weapon registered in the name of the former president, however, led the minister to reevaluate this possibility.
Moraes then requested a position from the PGR (Attorney General's Office), which asked to speak only after the Civil Police concluded investigations into the episode.
The opinion left lawyers optimistic about a favorable outcome for the former president. They deny that Bolsonaro committed any serious misconduct and believe in maintaining house arrest.
The expectation is that Moraes will announce the decision shortly after the meeting.
