Injured, Neymar is out of the Brazilian team's pre-World Cup friendlies and probably won't be on the field for the team's World Cup debut, on June 13th against Morocco, in New Jersey.

This Thursday (28), the team's doctor, Rodrigo Lasmar, confirmed that Neymar has a grade 2 muscle injury in his right calf. The player underwent new tests after reporting to Granja Comary.

The athlete is still undergoing treatment, our expectation is that he will be released within two to three weeks. With us he is in intensive treatment so that we can evaluate his evolution daily, but that is the expectation.

In the scenario predicted by Lasmar, Neymar would return to training only on the eve of the match against Haiti on the 19th in Philadelphia, Brazil's second in the group stage. The Seleção ends its participation in this phase on the 24th against Scotland, in Miami.

Before the World Cup, the team led by Carlo Ancelotti will face Panama next Sunday (31), at Maracanã, and face Egypt on June 6, already on North American soil, in the city of Cleveland.
