Daveigh Chase broke up with his family and lived on the streets before he died

Two days before Daveigh Chase died, the actress's boyfriend created a fundraiser to buy a house where the couple could live.

Daveigh was 35 years old and was known for playing Samara in the film "The Ring", in 2002. She died on Wednesday (17) while being treated for sepsis, which caused her organs to fail.

This week, Roy Hernandez created a profile on the actress's behalf on a website and shared a little about how the couple lived in recent months. In the message, he said he wanted her to find comfort and peace after a difficult childhood and a break with her family.

"Daveigh was bullied and struggled to find safety and happiness in downtown Los Angeles. Together, we found moments of happiness and hope. All she ever wanted was a place where we could live together, feel safe, and be happy. Now, more than ever, I want to give her that sense of home and peace in her final days."

He stated in the order description that the doctors said she didn't have long to live.

The fundraising goal was set at US$5,500, which is equivalent to around R$28,000. So far, the total donations are R$ 19 thousand.

Roy also asked fans to pray for Daveigh's recovery. In addition to "The Ring", the actress participated in "Lilo & Stitch" and "Spirited Away".

After her death, the American newspaper TMZ reported that Daveigh had cut off contact even with friends, who were mobilizing to find her.
