Datafolha: Marina and Tebet lead Senate race in São Paulo

Former ministers Marina Silva (Rede), of Environment and Climate Change, and Simone Tebet (PSB), of Planning, are leading the dispute for a seat in the Senate in São Paulo, according to a Datafolha survey released this Monday (6).

In this year's elections, voters in São Paulo will choose two senators, as two thirds of the seats in the House will be renewed. Therefore, each interviewee was able to name up to two candidates.

Marina appears with 18% of voting intentions and is technically tied with Tebet, who registers 16%. The former Minister of Planning, in turn, is also technically tied with Ricardo Salles (Novo), who has 13%.

Next are state deputy André do Prado (PL), with 11%; state deputy Guilherme Derrite (PP), with 10%; and federal deputy Paulinho da Força (Solidarity), with 8%.

Among those interviewed, 17% said they would vote blank, null or for no candidate, while another 7% were unable to answer.

Methodology
The survey interviewed 1,608 voters in the state of São Paulo between the 1st and 3rd of July. The margin of error is two percentage points, plus or minus, with a 95% confidence level.

The survey was carried out with the institute's own resources and is registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) under protocols SP-01703/2026 and BR-06481/2026.
