Datafolha in SP: 45% approve of Tarcísio's management; 20% think it is bad or terrible

The administration of Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans) in the Government of São Paulo has 45% approval; while 32% consider it regular; and 20% bad or very bad, according to a Datafolha survey released this Sunday (5).

Running for re-election, his government's outlook remained stable during his mandate. In the same survey, carried out in April 2023, he had 44% of respondents with positive opinions and the same 20% who thought his management was bad or terrible.

Those who consider Tarcísio to be a great or good governor are 63%, while those who disapprove are 32% and those who don't know, 6%.

However, 46% of those interviewed said he did less than was expected in the role. Another 35% cited that the governor did what was expected and 13% that he did more than they expected.

For those interviewed, the state's biggest problems are, tied at 27%, public safety and health, followed by education (11%) and economy (3%).

For the next elections, Tarcísio has 46% of voting intentions for the Government of the State of São Paulo, followed by Fernando Haddad (PT), with 30%.

With the scenario, none of the candidates would win the election in the first round. In the second round, the Republican candidate has 53% of voting intentions and the PT representative has 37%.

1,608 voters were interviewed in 71 cities between last Wednesday (1) and Friday (3). The survey has a margin of error of plus or minus two points.

The Datafolha survey is registered with the Electoral Court under the codes SP-01703/2026 and BR-06481/2026.
