Danilo, right-back of the Brazilian team, commented on Neymar's current physical situation. The 34-year-old striker carried out his first activity with the group this Wednesday (17), taking part in the warm-up work and after training.

Neymar hasn't played a match in a month. He suffered a grade 2 injury to his right calf before his final World Cup squad. Even so, he was kept in the group.

The technical committee's expectation is that the player will follow the transition process to recover 100% and be available to coach Carlo Ancelotti next week.

"It's raining in the wet. Of course we need to deal with reality and not hypothetical issues. What we hope is that he is physically well, able to recover and contribute as he always has, be it with five, ten, 20, half an hour. His quality has already been proven wherever he has been", said Danilo.

The number 10 is unlikely to take the field against Haiti next Friday (19). According to CNN, the chance of Neymar being available in the second round of the World Cup is considered low.

Brazilian team at the World Cup
Brazil occupies third place in Group C, with just one point. Scotland leads, with three, and Morocco is in second place, also with one point. The African team stands out compared to the Brazilians due to the number of yellow cards (2-0 for the South Americans).

Neymar will try to win the unprecedented title in his career in his last World Cup contest. He competed in the competition three times: in 2014, in Brazil, in 2018, in Russia and in 2022, in Qatar.

The Brazilian team faces Haiti on Friday (19), at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), at Lincoln Financial Field, in the city of Philadelphia, in the United States.
