Czech Republic Police charge four people with human trafficking in case involving OnlyFans

The police in the Czech Republic reported this Tuesday (2) that they had charged four people and an unidentified legal entity with coercing young women to produce erotic content for accounts on OnlyFans and other social networks.
The case of human trafficking involves a group that recruited dozens of women just over 18 years old. According to the police, the suspects took advantage of the victims' social vulnerability, immaturity and lack of experience to obtain content without them having control over its use.
OnlyFans is a platform aimed at adults, where users can sell access to photos and videos, including sexually explicit content.
The platform's press office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
According to the police, after gaining the women's trust, the accused convinced them to produce erotic content and signing contracts to represent them on social networks, mainly on OnlyFans.
"The victims generally did not have access to the profiles created with their personal data", said the police.
Also according to investigators, the suspects used psychological pressure, threats of fines and withheld payments to demand, gradually and against the will of the victims, increasingly explicit content.
The police reported that the scheme generated at least 3.6 million Czech crowns (about US$173 thousand) in revenue.
Created in 2016, OnlyFans brings together hundreds of millions of users. The most successful content creators on the platform can earn millions of dollars a year.
The service is restricted or banned in some countries, such as Turkey, and has already been the target of several complaints.
A Reuters special report published in 2024 revealed that more than 120 people approached law enforcement agencies in the United States alleging that they appeared in sexually explicit content on the platform without consent.
The same investigation identified at least 17 cases of people who reported the publication of pornography to the British authorities. consensual on OnlyFans.
