Cruzeiro has accelerated negotiations to sign Gabriel Rojas, from Racing-ARG, in recent days. The defender is Raposa's main target for the left flank.

The negotiations have been ongoing for a few weeks and have recently gained new chapters. Last weekend, the player's attorney was in Belo Horizonte and met with a member of the celestial leadership responsible for conducting the negotiations.

To sign Rojas, the celestial club initially offered 4 million dollars (R$ 20.4 million) to Racing-ARG, who denied it, but kept the possibility alive. The celestial club knows that it will need to increase investment to complete the reinforcement and, in principle, will not back down.

The information about the meeting between the celestial board and the player's staff was released by ge and confirmed by Itatiaia.

Cruzeiro's interest in Gabriel Rojas arose at a time of uncertainty on the left flank. Immediate reserve for the position, Kauã Prates was sold and is ready for Borussia Dortmund, starting in the second half of the year.

Kaiki, in turn, is the absolute starter and has a contract until the end of 2027. The player is valued and the tendency is for him to receive offers from European clubs in the transfer window. Raposa, however, does not condition the signing of Rojas to a possible sale of the number 6.

Gabriel Rojas
Born in June 1997, Gabriel Rojas is 28 years old and has been at Racing since 2023, where he was champion of the Copa Sudamericana and Recopa. The athlete's contract with the Argentine club runs until the end of 2028.

Before defending the Academy, the winger played for San Lorenzo-ARG, Querétaro-MEX and Penãrol-URU. He is an athlete with an offensive characteristic and has provided 22 assists in the last four seasons.
