Cristiano Ronaldo sends message after Portugal and DR Congo draw in the World Cup

Portugal, one of the favorites for the 2026 World Cup title, debuted disappointingly with a 1-1 draw with DR Congo. The team's star, Cristiano Ronaldo, played a game below expectations and spoke about the result on social media.

In a post, the Portuguese number 7 highlighted that the debut was not what they expected, but that nothing is over and he is already looking at the next game. The message sought to boost the morale of the team and fans.

"It wasn't the start we wanted, but this is far from over. Head up and focus on the next game", published the star. Portugal took the lead against DR Congo, but suffered a draw in the last play of the first half and had little creativity to seek victory in the final stage.

CR7's performance and Portugal's next challenges
Cristiano Ronaldo was Portugal's captain and played from start to finish, but didn't have much of a performance. He barely participated in the game and, on both shooting opportunities, he missed the target, demonstrating an atypical day for the top scorer.
