Katia Aveiro, 41, sister of player Cristiano Ronaldo, 48, used social media last Wednesday (17), to lament the debut of the Portugal team in the 2026 World Cup.

Before Portugal's game against the Democratic Republic of Congo, Katia made a post in support of her brother's team: "Come on, boys. God bless the magic that is football. God bless our homeland. God bless my brother."

However, after the draw, she criticized her on her Instagram stories: "The Portugal team was a total disappointment. What a shame. It's obvious that they're going to blame just one... lucky that the back is wide... and anyone who understands football understands the obvious. And here's to the next ones."

"This World Cup is strange. Strange. But come on... wrong starts, right endings. Until the end", he wrote.

Katia Aveiro is Cristiano Ronaldo's older sister and has also built her own career as a singer, businesswoman and digital influencer. In Portugal, she released songs in popular styles and participated in television programs.

Since 2018, Katia has lived in Brazil, the country she moved to after marrying Brazilian businessman Alexandre Bertolucci Júnior. She chose to live in Gramado, in Serra Gaúcha, a city she says she fell in love with during visits to the country.
