Cristiano Ronaldo's fiancée mocks João Neves: "This generation is coming strong"
Georgina Rodríguez, Cristiano Ronaldo's fiancée, mocked João Neves after the young midfielder's girlfriend criticized the Portuguese national team striker after the opening game of the 2026 World Cup.
"Wow! This generation is coming strong", wrote the model and influencer in a comment published in the post of the newspaper "Diario Récord", from Mexico.
Georgina responded to the post that showed the comment from Madalena Aragão, Neves' girlfriend in response to a CR7 fan. "Tell your 'goat' to retire, he's very selfish," wrote João Neves' partner, after a user said: "Your boyfriend is retarded, tell him to pass the ball to my 'goat'."
Several profiles on social media filled the comments on the profiles of Portugal players, and their respective families, with complaints about the lack of passes for Cristiano Ronaldo.
The situation grew following João Neves' speech at the press conference after the 1-1 draw with DR Congo, last Wednesday (17), in their World Cup debut.
"We know what Cristiano did for our national team and for football. He played very well, the whole team played an excellent game. I feel that (CR7) is another one to help, he's no different from all of us (on the team). He's just another player to help, he's no different from the others", he said.
The "atmosphere" in the Portuguese team is heavy before the next commitment in Group K in the World Cup. Cristiano Ronaldo, João Neves and company return to the field this Tuesday (23), at 2pm (Brasília time), at the NRG Stadium, in Houston, in the United States.
With a point won against DR Congo, Cristiano Ronaldo and company's team only thinks about victory to grow in Group K, which also includes Colombia.
