Cristiano Ronaldo champion: how many goals are left for CR7's thousandth?

Cristiano Ronaldo lifted another trophy this Thursday (21), by winning the Saudi Championship with Al-Nassr. In the 34th and final round of the tournament, the Portuguese star's team beat Damac 4-1, with two goals from the 41-year-old striker.

Now, with the goals scored, CR7 has reached the mark of 973 goals in his career, being 27 away from reaching his thousandth. After the end of the club season in Saudi Arabia, he is expected to return to the pitch in the friendlies that precede Portugal's debut in the World Cup.

Marks at Al-Nassr
Since arriving in Saudi Arabia in 2023, Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 103 goals with the Al-Nassr shirt. During this period, his first title with the club was the Arab Champions League, won in the year he arrived.

After a few attempts, the Portuguese became champion of the Saudi League in the 2025/26 season. The team finished in first place overall with 86 points, two more than rival Al-Hilal, who finished second.

Al-Nassr, led by coach Jorge Jesus, could still have won the Asian Champions League Two this year, but ended up being beaten by Gamba Osaka in the decision.

Next stop: World Cup
Cristiano Ronaldo is part of Portugal's final list and will be present in the 2026 World Cup. The striker will be available to coach Roberto Martínez for the debut duel, which will take place on June 17th, at 2pm (Brasília time), against DR Congo.

Before that, the European country will play two preparatory friendlies for the tournament, against Chile and Nigeria, matches that are valid for CR7's goal count. Portugal is in Group K of the competition and also faces Uzbekistan and Colombia.
