Justice released, this Wednesday (8), two suspects arrested for the death of Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas, a young woman thrown without ropes during a rope jump, in Limeira, in the interior of São Paulo. Freedom was granted to João Antonio Pivetta Ribeiro da Silva and Gabriel Barros Martins, who had been imprisoned since June 20.

According to the decision, "the evidence produced throughout this investigation did not show sufficient evidence of authorship in relation to João Antonio Pivetta Ribeiro da Silva and Gabriel Barros Martins, which is why the respective indictment was not carried out." Thus, the temporary arrest of both was revoked.

Reported by the Public Prosecutor's Office
On the other hand, four other suspected people are still in prison. All of them were denounced by the Public Ministry of São Paulo. They are: Luís Felipe Feliciano Egoroff, Maicon Fernandes Cintra, Vitor de Freitas Gonçalves and Evelyne Dossantos Gonçalves.

Luís Felipe, Maicon and Vitor were charged with homicide with possible intent - when the individual, although not directly wanting the result of death, acts in such a way as to assume the risk of death -, qualified by a base motive and resource that made it impossible to defend the victim.

The MP states that the men were fully aware of the danger of the activity, but failed to take the necessary care to protect Maria Eduarda's safety. According to investigations, the trio acted directly in the shooting of the victim, which is why they were caught in the act, with their arrests later converted into preventive arrests.

Evelyn, in addition to murder, was also indicted for procedural fraud, as she tried to eliminate the camera attached to the young woman's body in an attempt to obstruct the investigation.
