Corinthians women's squad receives rest period during competition stoppage

After an intense sequence of commitments during the season, the Corinthians women's squad will begin a period of rest during the suspension of competitions. The players will have approximately two weeks of recess, between the 10th and 24th of June, before resuming activities for the decisive stretch of the year.

This Monday, Brabas completed their last training session at CT Joaquim Grava before the scheduled interruption in the calendar. Still, the group has one more commitment before the athletes' release: a friendly match against the United States Under-23 National Team, scheduled for this Tuesday, at the Marcelo Portugal Gouvêa Stadium, located in the training center for São Paulo's youth teams.

"Monday of work and last training at CT before the break scheduled in the calendar during the FIFA Date! #AsBrabas have completed another stage of preparation and will resume work soon, with an eye on the decisive sequence of the season", wrote the club on social media.

Despite the vacation period, some of the cast will not be able to fully take advantage of their rest days. This is because seven Corinthians athletes were called to participate in activities of the main Brazilian team, scheduled between the 15th and 20th of June, in the city of Itu, in the interior of São Paulo.

The squad list includes goalkeepers Nicole Ramos and Ana Morganti, right-back Ivana Fuso, midfielders Ana Vitória and Andressa Alves, as well as strikers Jaqueline and Jhonson.

After the break, Corinthians will turn its attention to the tournaments in the second semester. The team should return to the pitch in the second half of July, when they will face Ferroviária in the fourth round of the Campeonato Paulista Feminino.

The confrontation is initially scheduled to take place on July 17th, at Fazendinha. However, the São Paulo Football Federation has not yet released the detailed table for the competition, which means that official confirmation of the date and time of the match remains pending.
