Corinthians Women maintains preparation with a focus on defensive organization to face Ferroviária

On Wednesday morning, Corinthians continued preparing for the season's next commitments. At CT, the women's team held another training session aiming for the confrontation against Ferroviária, scheduled for July 17th, for the Campeonato Paulista.

The program began in the gym, where the athletes performed physical activities. Then, the squad went to the pitch to warm up, accompanied by the physical preparation committee. On the technical side, Emily Lima directed the work towards adjustments to the defensive system and also promoted specific dead ball training.

The technical committee, however, still does not have the entire group available. Goalkeeper Lelê continues to recover from tendinopathy in the back of her right thigh. Although she has already started treatment with the medical department, the archer remains out of activities with the rest of the cast.

Who also remains absent is defender Agustina Barroso. The Argentine defender continues to treat a recurring contracture associated with a scar on the soleus muscle of her left calf, a problem identified at the beginning of the season, and remains unable to return to collective training.

With preparations entering the final stretch, the Brabas focus their attention on the return of official competitions. The first challenge will be against Ferroviária, on July 17th, at 7pm, at Parque São Jorge, in a match valid for the fourth round of the Campeonato Paulista.

A few days later, Corinthians and Ferroviária will meet again, this time in the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil Feminina. After a change promoted by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), the knockout match was rescheduled for July 20th, a Monday, at 8pm, at Fonte Luminosa, in Araraquara.
