Corinthians maintained their perfect campaign in the 2026 Basketball Development League (LDB) by achieving yet another victory this Thursday afternoon. Against Basquete Cearense, Timãozinho U22 won 83 to 55 at Ginásio Felipe Karam, in Rio Claro, in the fourth round of the national competition.

The team led by Wesley Aguiar controlled the match from the opening minutes and built a comfortable lead in the first half. At the end of the first two quarters, the black and white team already led 38 to 23. After the break, Corinthians continued to dictate the pace of the match and increased the difference on the scoreboard without allowing any reaction from the opponent. The final result reflected Corinthians' superiority during the 40 minutes, with a victory by 28 points.

Among the highlights of the match was wing/pivot Kaick, who ended the duel with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Another prominent name was pivot Lucas Eduardo, known as Lukinhas, responsible for 17 points and ten rebounds. With his performance, he achieved his fourth double-double in the current edition of LDB.

The triumph was Corinthians' fourth consecutive victory in the championship. Before beating Basquete Cearense, the team had already beaten Cruzeiro 84-69, Instituto Viva Vida 83-82 and Minas 67-66, in a match decided only in extra time.

In the general classification, the Parque São Jorge club appears in third place. Pinheiros and Caxias do Sul also remain undefeated, but have an advantage in the tiebreaker criteria related to the points balance.

The LDB format in 2026 brings together 24 teams, initially divided into two groups with 12 participants each. These groups, in turn, were separated into two subgroups of six teams. In the first phase, clashes take place between teams from opposing subgroups within the same group. In the next stage, duels will be held between members of the subgroup itself.

As this initial phase continues, Corinthians will still have two commitments ahead. This Friday, at 11:15 am, the team faces Brasília. On Saturday, at 9:15 am, their participation in this stage ends against Caxias do Sul.

After that, the competition will move to new venues between the months of July and August. Corinthians, Cruzeiro, Paulistano and Flamengo will be responsible for hosting the games in the second phase of the tournament.
