Corinthians win international U13 tournament with perfect campaign and undefeated defense

Corinthians won, this Sunday afternoon (28), the title of the MICFootball Punta Cana Under-13 International Tournament, played in the Dominican Republic. In the decision, the team led by Herlon Silva thrashed the Los Angeles Galaxy, from the United States, 5 x 0 and lifted the cup after an impeccable campaign in the competition.

Timãozinho ended the tournament with 100% success. Over the six games played, they won every match, scored 34 goals, an average of more than five per match, and did not concede a single goal, confirming the balance between the offensive and defensive sectors throughout the campaign.

The journey towards the title began in the group stage. In their debut, Corinthians beat Barça Academy, from the Dominican Republic, 11 x 0. They then beat Proyecto JDB, from Puerto Rico, 6 x 0. Closing the first phase, they beat Real Deportivo, also from the Dominican Republic, 4 x 0 and secured classification with the best campaign in the group.

In the quarterfinals, the black and white team once again demonstrated superiority by defeating Punta Cana FC, from the Dominican Republic, 7 x 0. In the semifinals, they found a more balanced duel against El Salvador 503, but won 1 x 0 and secured a place in the big decision.

In the final, Corinthians confirmed their favoritism against the Los Angeles Galaxy and scored a 5-0 victory to win the international title undefeated.

After the commitment in the Dominican Republic, the squad returns to Brazil to continue the season. In addition to the international achievement, the team is also enjoying a great moment in the Paulista Under-13 Championship.

In the state, Corinthians is at the top of Group 9 with 26 points. The campaign has seen seven wins in seven matches, 47 goals scored and none conceded so far.

The regulations of the Campeonato Paulista U13 provide that each victory in regulation time is worth three points. At the end of each match, regardless of the result, there is a penalty shootout that awards an extra point to the winner. Timão has won six of the seven penalty shootouts held so far, a performance that contributed to its isolated lead in the group.

With the international title and the excellent campaign in the state, Corinthians maintains its good momentum in the Under-13 category and remains undefeated in 2026, accumulating impressive results both on the national and international scene.
