Corinthians will face UDA in the quarter-finals of the Brazilian Under-17 Women's Championship

Corinthians already know their opponent in the quarter-finals of the Brazilian Under-17 Women's Championship. After ending the group stage with a perfect campaign, the Brabinhas will face UDA, from Alagoas, in the dispute for a place among the four best teams in the competition.

The team led by Igor Freire guaranteed the leadership of Group A by winning 18 points in six matches, maintaining 100% success. On the other hand, UDA advanced as runner-up in their group with 12 points, having an advantage over AJAP on goal difference.

The quarter-finals are scheduled to take place on July 25th, with the first leg, and August 1st, in the return leg. Having finished the first phase with the second best overall campaign of the tournament, behind Internacional, Corinthians will decide the classification at home. The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) will also publish the official times and locations of the clashes.

The duel will not be new in this edition of the championship. Corinthians and UDA have already faced each other twice during the group stage, with an advantage for the black and white team. In the first meeting, played at Fazendinha, Timão won 3 x 2. In the match held in São Miguel dos Campos, Brabinhas repeated the score and won another victory by 3 x 2.

In addition to the isolated leadership of the group, Corinthians ended the first phase with impressive numbers. The team won all six matches played, scored 36 goals and conceded just five, recording the best campaign in its history in the Brazilian Women's Under-17 Championship.

Now, the Brabinhas begin preparation for the knockout stage in search of another classification. If they eliminate UDA, Corinthians will advance to the semi-finals of the national competition.
