Corinthians welcomes São Paulo in search of leadership of the Under-17 Brasileirão

Corinthians returns to the field this Monday afternoon (1st) for another commitment in the Brazilian Under-17 Championship. At 5:30 pm (Brasília time), Timãozinho faces São Paulo, at Estádio do Canindé, in the second round of the national competition.

The team led by Guilherme Nascimento arrives motivated after debuting with a victory away from home. Last Friday (29), Corinthians beat Vitória 2 x 0, at CT Manoel Barradas, in Salvador, with two goals scored by Lucca Caramico, guaranteeing the first three points in the tournament.

With the result, the black and white club started the competition occupying second place in the table, behind only Fluminense, which has an advantage on goal difference. A new triumph against their rival could put Corinthians in the lead of the competition, also depending on the other results of the round.

On the other side will be São Paulo, who began their journey in the Brasileirão U17 with a 1-1 draw against Athletico-PR, playing at home. This Monday's classic marks the first Majestic in the category in the current edition of the championship.

The tendency is for Guilherme Nascimento to maintain the base of the team that beat Vitória in the opening round.
