Corinthians waste chances in attack and are surpassed by Umuarama, away from home, in the LNF

Corinthians visited Umuarama on Saturday night (4), at Ginásio Amario Vieira da Costa, in a match valid for the 11th round of the National Futsal League (LNF), and ended up being beaten by a score of 1 x 0. With the result, Alvinegro fell from 12th to 13th place with eight points - two wins, two draws and seven defeats - 16 goals scored and 25 conceded. Timão continues without winning away from home in the tournament and had its two-game winning streak interrupted.

Coach Fernando Malafaia chose the following team to start the match: Lucas Oliveira; Lucas Martins, Maicon, Renatinho and Rick. The substitutes bench had: Kelvin, Caio Barros, Vinicius Paiva, Da Bonja, Morales, Kaio Lopes, Igor Bredof, Oito Meia and Fabinho. The rival, led by Paulinho Gambier, took to the court with: Rafa Freitas, Ferro, Vini Moraes, Vini Pod and Capinha.

Corinthians started the first half with a better performance than Umuarama, but at the same time wasting many chances and being ineffective in finishing. The opponent, in turn, created few chances, but in one of the few they created in the first half, they opened the scoring with Vini Rod. Thus, the team from Paraná went into the break with the lead on the scoreboard.

In the complementary stage, however, the game scenario was changed. In the first ten minutes, Umuarama had control of the game and, even with less possession of the ball, created the most dangerous scoring opportunities. In the final stretch of the match, coach Fernando Malafaia used the goalkeeper's resource to have numerical superiority in the attack, but the opponent held off Timão's pressure and emerged victorious from the court.

Now, Alvinegro will return to the courts next Friday (10), at 7:30 pm (Brasília time), for the 12th round of the National Futsal League, to face Minas. Timão needs a triumph to move away from the relegation zone and continue dreaming of a place in the playoffs of the national tournament - fifth to 12th round placement. The opponent in question is one position above with nine points.
