Corinthians receives, this Saturday afternoon (13), at 3pm (Brasília time), Portuguesa Santista, at the Alfredo Schürig Stadium, Fazendinha, in a match valid for the second round of the first phase of the 2026 Paulista Under-20 Championship. In the debut of the state championship, which took place in the interior of São Paulo last weekend, Timãozinho beat Mirassol 1 x 0, with a goal from defender Iago Machado.

In the middle of the week, the Parque São Jorge club beat Avaí 6 x 2, at home, in the 15th round of the Brasileirão classification in the category. Filhos do Terrão occupy tenth place with 22 points and remain in the fight for a place in the knockout stage, as only the top eight advance to the knockout stages.

In the state, Alvinegro is in Group 1 alongside Ferroviária, Portuguesa Santista, Santos, Portuguesa, União Suzano, Sertãozinho, Ponte Preta, Itapirense, América, São Bento, Jabaquara, Mirassol. The top ten in each group advance to the knockout stage, in addition to the two best teams in 11th place. Timão has not won the Paulistão U20 since 2015 and, since then, has been runner-up on three occasions: 2018 and 2020, against Palmeiras, and in 2022, against Santos.

Probable Corinthians lineup

Coach William Batista should send a modified team to the pitch: Nicollas Siqueira; Guilherme Pellegrin, Iago Machado, Yago Melo and Joãozinho; Caraguá, Pedro Thomas and Luiz Eduardo; Luiz Fernando 'Luizinho', Gustavo Corrêa and Nicolas Araújo.

Arbitration

The whistle blower will be Pietro Dimitrof Stefanelli, who will be assisted by Alex Alexandrino and João Petrucio Marimônio de Jesus dos Santos. The role of fourth referee will be with Ariana Manfredi Leite.
