Corinthians U20 seeks to extend unbeaten run as a visitor this season

Corinthians visits Juventude, this Wednesday afternoon (1), at 3pm (Brasília time), at CFAC, in Caxias do Sul, in a match valid for the 19th and final round of the classification phase of the 2026 Brazilian Under-20 Championship. Currently, Filhos do Terrão occupy eighth place with 29 points - eight wins, five draws and five defeats - 31 goals scored and 24 suffered.

In the duel, the Parque São Jorge club will seek to maintain its unbeaten record away from home in the 2026 season - the biggest since 2017. This year, Alvinegro won six (Grêmio, Criciúma, São Paulo, Cuiabá, Mirassol and Cruzeiro) and four draws (Bahia, Botafogo, Red Bull Bragantino and Santos) - 17 goals scored and nine conceded. The games were valid for the Paulista and Brazilian Championships of the category.

Timãozinho's last defeat away from home came in September 2025, when they were beaten 3 x 1 by Santos, in Vila Belmiro, in the second game of the round of 16 of the Campeonato Paulista U20. The Copa São Paulo games, it is worth mentioning, are considered a neutral field. With the draw against Santos last weekend, Alvinegro surpassed their 2023 unbeaten run away from home - nine games.

On that occasion, the team led by Danilo at the time recorded five wins (União Mogi, União Suzano, ECUS, São Caetano and Grêmio) and four draws (Atlético-MG, Água Santa, São Caetano and Fluminense) - 32 goals scored and 10 conceded. According to a survey released by Meu Timão, in 2017, the Under-20s went eight matches without winning as a visitor, twice in 2019 and once in 2018.

Decisive game to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Under-20 Brasileirão

To advance to the quarterfinals, Filhos do Terrão will play for a victory by any score. In the event of a draw, they will have to hope that Flamengo, the first team outside the G8 with 27 points, does not win by at least an eight goal difference. If they are defeated and the Rio team wins, Alvinegro will be eliminated from the competition. The team from Rio Grande do Sul, in turn, occupies 17th position, the first team within the Z4, with 15 points.

Corinthians, it is worth remembering, is looking for a place in the knockout stages of the Brasileirão U20 for the first time since 2023. In 2024 and 2025, they fought at the bottom of the table, adding 18 and 20 points, respectively, occupying 18th and 15th place in the years mentioned. In the current season, Filhos do Terrão are going through a good moment and have not lost eight games, the last two being draws: Flamengo (2 x 2 - Brasileirão) and Santos (0 x 0 - Campeonato Paulista).
