Next appointment
The Brabinhas' next appointment will be next Saturday (4), at 3pm (Brasília time), when they host Gazin Porto Velho, at Fazendinha, in the sixth round of the group stage of the Brazilian Under-17 Women's Championship.
First half
Corinthians needed just a few seconds to show that they would control the match. In the first minute, after a free pass at the edge of the area, Gimenez noticed the goalkeeper in advance and hit a beautiful shot through coverage to open the score.
Even with the advantage built quickly, the Brabinhas continued to occupy the offensive field and maintain possession of the ball, while Mixto found it difficult to play and could barely threaten the black and white defense.
Corinthians' pressure paid off again after ten minutes. Natália found Manu at the edge of the area, and the Corinthians shirt dominated before finishing brilliantly in the corner, extending the lead to 2 x 0.
Corinthians continued to completely control the actions of the match. With a good exchange of passes and intensity in marking, the team did not allow space to the opponent and continued to create opportunities.
At 21 minutes, the third goal came. Letícia won the contest from the top and supported Mariela, who dominated, left the marking behind and finished from outside the area, with no possibility of defense for Jhenifer.
After the hydration stop, Mixto managed to advance their lines a little and started to have a greater offensive presence. Still, Corinthians continued to manage possession and dictate the pace of the match.
The home team's first attempt came just after 32 minutes. In a free kick raised in the area, the ball fell to Carol Paiva, who made the save without difficulty.
In the final moments of the initial stage, the duel lost intensity. Corinthians managed the advantage built by exchanging passes, while Mixto concentrated their efforts to avoid an even more elastic score before the break.
Second half
On the way back to the complementary stage, the confrontation presented a more balanced scenario. Mixto began to put pressure on Corinthians to get the ball out, while Brabinhas maintained control of possession, but found it more difficult to accelerate the plays.
At seven minutes, the Mato Grosso team had their best opportunity of the game. After a fast counterattack, Joycinha invaded the area and was fouled by Laryssa Lorrane. The referee awarded a penalty and warned the Corinthians defender with a yellow card. From the kick, Maria Dafine sent it over the crossbar and wasted the chance to reduce the score.
Corinthians responded immediately. In the 12th minute, Letícia pressured the opponent's ball, intercepted the defense's pass and saw the ball go into the back of the net, scoring Brabinhas' fourth goal.
With a large advantage on the scoreboard, the black and white team reduced the pace and began to value possession of the ball even more. The strong heat also influenced the intensity of the match, which became more rhythmic throughout the second half.
Even so, Mixto still managed to create some opportunities. In the 26th minute, Letícia Costa took advantage of a defensive error, coming face to face with Carol Paiva, but the Corinthians goalkeeper made an excellent save and avoided the goal.
Five minutes later, however, the pressure from the home team had an effect. After another offensive attack, Letícia Costa took advantage of the surplus inside the area and scored Mixto's goal of honor, reducing the difference to 4 x 1.
In the final minutes, Corinthians once again completely controlled possession and managed the advantage without suffering any major scares. Mixto still tried to explore some counterattacks, but found a well-positioned defense, which confirmed the Brabinhas' fifth consecutive victory in the Brazilian Under-17 Women's Championship.
The final whistle confirmed yet another consistent performance by the team led by Igor Freire, which remains undefeated, with 100% success rate and isolated at the top of Group A of the national competition.
