Corinthians suffers a comeback against São Lourenço and is eliminated from the LNF Cup in the round of 16

Corinthians is eliminated from the 2026 LNF Cup. This Saturday afternoon (13), Timão was defeated by São Lourenço 4 x 1, at the Multi-Sport Gymnasium of the Municipal Early Childhood Education Center, in São Lourenço do Oeste, Santa Catarina, in a match valid for the round of 16 of the competition.
The team led by Fernando Malafaia took the lead in the final seconds of the first half, with a goal from Rick, but suffered a reaction from the team from Santa Catarina in the second half. Vico, Marcolla and Churrasco, twice, scored for the home team and declared black and white elimination.

With the result, Corinthians ends its participation in the first edition of the LNF Cup still in the round of 16 stage.
Corinthians lineup
Coach Fernando Malafaia started the match with: Lucas Oliveira; Lucas Martins, Maicon, Rick and Renatinho.
On the bench were Kelvin, Caio Barros, Papagaio, Paiva, Da Bonja, Igor Bredof, Favinho, Davi and OitoMeia, who made his debut for the club.
São Lourenço was climbed with Serjão; Thauan, Vico, Ian Lucas and Gessé.
The game
Corinthians started the match looking to control offensive actions and mainly exploited ball recoveries to create opportunities. Despite the volume presented in the first minutes, the black and white team found it difficult to transform chances into goals, also stopping at goalkeeper Serjão's defenses.
São Lourenço responded with dangerous shots, but Lucas Oliveira also appeared well to prevent the Santa Catarina team from opening the scoring.
After five minutes, São Lourenço's goalkeeper began to stand out. After a pass from Igor Bredof, Paiva finished quickly, but Serjão made the save. Shortly afterwards, the winger again received a good opportunity after Da Bonja's recovery, but sent the ball out.
Corinthians continued to press. Maicon finished strongly, Lucas Martins had a chance after a corner kick and the team continued to create spaces, but were unable to complete the opportunities.
In the final minutes of the first stage, São Lourenço began to balance the confrontation more and faced danger in some arrivals. However, when the clock ticked just one second before the break, Rick risked a strong, low shot from the middle of the court, the ball went past goalkeeper Serjão and opened the scoring for Corinthians.
The team from Santa Catarina complained about the move, claiming that the time had already run out, but the referee confirmed the black and white goal.
São Lourenço reacts in the second half
Corinthians returned to the second half trying to extend their advantage, again with Rick presenting danger early on. However, São Lourenço began to control the match more and pressed in search of a draw.
In the seventh minute, after a sequence of fouls committed by Timão, Vico received a charge on the right and finished. The ball deflected off goalkeeper Lucas Oliveira and went in, leaving everything the same on the scoreboard.
Shortly afterwards, São Lourenço took advantage of a new offensive moment. Pedrinho found Marcolla on the right, who finished to turn the match in favor of the home team.
Coach Fernando Malafaia asked for time to reorganize the team and sought to adjust Corinthians, who began to press again in search of a draw.
Timão had opportunities with OitoMeia and Maicon, but stopped in Serjão's defenses. With the adverse result and time running out, the black and white technical committee bet on the line goalkeeper to try to get a reaction.
With Kelvin initially in the role, and later Igor Bredof acting as goalkeeper, Corinthians increased the pressure, but ended up leaving the goal unprotected.
In the final minute, Bredof tried to finish in attack, but Serjão saved and took advantage of the open goal to increase the score. Shortly afterwards, Churrasco scored a defensive shot and scored São Lourenço's fourth goal, ending the match.
Next appointment
Eliminated from the LNF Cup, Corinthians turns its attention to the Paulista Futsal Championship. Timão's next appointment will be this Tuesday (16), against MX7 Diadema, away from home.
