Without playing since the final stretch of March, 19-year-old striker Gui Negão lost space at Corinthians and has an undefined future at the club for the remainder of the 2026 season. According to information initially released by journalist Lucas Collar, Internacional is interested and carried out a survey for Filho do Terrão. Galatasaray, from Türkiye, is also monitoring the athlete, according to Itatiaia. Both information was confirmed by the Timão Central, which advanced the investigation.
The report learned that a possible departure in this transfer window is viewed favorably, as the young man has not been having opportunities with the Corinthians shirt. He recently recovered from a grade 2 muscle injury in his right thigh, suffered during training with the Brazilian Under-20 Team at the Fifa Date in March, and was only listed again at the beginning of May, but has not yet taken to the field since the arrival of Fernando Diniz.

After the change in Corinthians' technical command, in the first week of April, the number 56 was present on the bench in the matches against Mirassol (F - Brasileirão), Santa-FÉ-COL (F - Libertadores), São Paulo (C - Brasileirão), Botafogo (F - Brasileirão), Peñarol-URU (F - Libertadores) and Grêmio (F - Brasileirão).

In the 2026 budget, it is worth remembering, the Corinthians board stipulated to earn R$151 million in athlete sales and revenue from FIFA's Solidarity Mechanisms. Last season, Alvinegro was no longer able to reach its target and, faced with the serious financial crisis, it needs to carry out player negotiations to obtain financial respite, as at the moment the club's total debt is close to R$ 3 billion.
Gui Negão started to receive opportunities in the Corinthians professional squad in mid-2025, when the team was led by Dorival Júnior. At the time, Alvinegro was punished with a FIFA transfer ban, that is, prohibited from registering signings, in addition to injuries to Yuri Alberto and Memphis Depay, having to resort to using athletes revealed in the youth categories.
Initially, the young man had a standout performance, being decisive for Corinthians in the quarter-finals of the Copa do Brasil, against Athletico-PR, playing an important tactical role and being useful for the team also in matches for the Brazilian Championship. However, in the final stretch of 2025, its performance fell and became less used. In 2026, for example, there are 12 games and only one goal scored.
In relation to general numbers, Gui Negão has six goals and two assists in 36 matches for Timão, with 16 wins, four draws and 14 defeats - 50% success rate. In addition, there are two titles won: Copa do Brasil (2025) and Supercopa do Brasil (2026), against Vasco da Gama and Flamengo, respectively. His contract ends in June 2030, with a national fine of R$140 million and an international fine set at 100 million euros (approximately R$600 million at current prices).
By Corinthians Under-17 and 20, 24 goals were scored in 99 matches - 55 wins, 29 draws and 25 defeats. At base, his most significant title was the 2023 Paulistão Sub-17, against São Paulo, in a team that had names like Luiz Gustavo Bahia, André Luiz and Dieguinho - the latter two are with Gui in the professional team.
