Corinthians had an intense Friday at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava. Keeping an eye on the challenges of the second half of the season, the black and white squad underwent a series of preventive exams and physical assessments with a view to continuing competitions in 2026.
The activities began in the morning with cardiological tests, carried out in partnership with Hospital Sírio-Libanês. The players also underwent ophthalmology and otorhinolaryngology evaluations, conducted by CEMA Hospital. Afterwards, the athletes participated in a physical activity on the field.

The head of Corinthians' medical department, Ricardo Galotti, explained the pre-participation evaluation process carried out annually with the black and white squad. According to the doctor, the exams are preventive in nature and involve the integration of several areas of sports medicine, including cardiological screenings and complementary assessments, with the aim of early identifying possible clinical changes and ensuring the safety of athletes throughout the season.
"We are doing the pre-participation assessment, which is carried out every year with the aim of preventing possible pathologies, both on the cardiological side, as well as on the ENT and ophthalmology side. Here in this sector, we are doing the electrocardiogram, the exercise test and the echo, in partnership with Sírio, which once again came to our CT to make its entire structure available. And in the hotel part, we are doing the ophthalmic and ENT, also to improve athletes' performance and possible visual or ENT problems", said the doctor.
"The exams are mandatory, they are mandatory guidelines from the CBF, the Brazilian Society of Exercise and Sports Medicine. And then, for tomorrow, we need to send these exams to Sírio, to the CBF, to Comebol. It is a safety measure for the health of all athletes, so that we can avoid possible cardiological events that may occur", added Ricardo Galotti.
In the afternoon, the group carried out strength and isometric assessments, in addition to muscle strengthening work in the gym, continuing the technical committee's planning for the resumption of competitions. Corinthians will have a busy calendar in the second half of the year, with commitments for the Brazilian Championship and the round of 16 matches of the Copa do Brasil and CONMEBOL Libertadores.
Under the command of coach Fernando Diniz, the squad returns to training this Saturday (27), in two periods. The team's first official match in the second half of the season will be a friendly against Cascavel-PR, scheduled for July 12th, at 4pm, at the Estádio Municipal Arnaldo Busato, in Cascavel, Paraná.
The match will serve as preparation for Timão before the resumption of national and continental competitions, considered the club's priorities in the search for titles in 2026.
