Corinthians signs sponsorship with Fatal Fans; see values
Corinthians signed Fatal Fans, a subscription and content sales platform, as a new sponsor for R$22 million in an agreement valid until December 2027.
The value could rise to R$ 31 million annually, if Corinthians decides to renew the link with the company for another season - going from 2027 to 2028. The information was released by Meu Timão and confirmed by CNN Brasil.
The brand will be displayed on the men's team's shorts, in addition to also appearing on Timão's basketball and futsal uniforms. In the women's team, the brand will not be displayed, but messages of support for women's struggles and social causes will be publicized in the space.
As a result, the value for the space chosen in the men's team is considered a record within Brazilian football. Fatal will not be able to exploit the Corinthians brand or the club's athletes for adult content.
Increase in value
In the first round of negotiations, the values were around R$17 million. Osmar Stabile, president of Corinthians, put his foot down and didn't accept it.
During a financial crisis, Timão spoke to the company again and saw the proposal increase by R$5 million: from 17 to 22.
Help in various modalities
As CNN Brasil had already announced, the new partner should direct resources to the women's football, basketball and futsal team of the Parque São Jorge club. In the midst of a serious financial crisis, these departments have suffered great pressure and difficulties in recent months.
It is worth remembering that both basketball and futsal went through moments of uncertainty, with the possibility, even, of being closed due to Timão's budgetary difficulties. Therefore, the internal assessment is that the new partnership represents a great relief for the maintenance of modalities and for the projection of more competitive teams with an eye on the coming seasons.
