Corinthians returns to the court this Saturday (4), at 7:30 pm (Brasília time), to face Umuarama, at Ginásio Amário Vieira da Costa, in Paraná, for the 11th round of the National Futsal League (LNF). In addition to trying to climb the national competition table, Timão seeks to reach an unprecedented milestone in 2026: achieving three consecutive victories.
The team led by Fernando Malafaia arrives motivated after two positive results. Last Saturday (27), they beat Tubarão 3 x 1, at Ginásio Wlamir Marques, ending a streak of seven matches without triumphs in the National League. On Tuesday (30), they beat Wimpro Guarulhos 5 x 1, also at home, in a match valid for the Campeonato Paulista.

If they win again this weekend, Corinthians will achieve their longest winning streak of the season. So far, the team has only managed to amend two consecutive victories on two occasions. The first took place between the 3rd and 8th of April, when they defeated Magnus 2 x 0, for the LNF, and MRW/Ocian Praia Grande 4 x 0, for the Campeonato Paulista. The second sequence was built precisely in the last rounds, with the triumphs against Tubarão and Wimpro Guarulhos.
The last moment in which Timão managed to surpass the mark of two consecutive victories happened in the final stretch of the 2025 season. On that occasion, the club achieved four consecutive victories between the National League and the Campeonato Paulista, during the dispute in the decisive stages of the competitions.
In 2026, Corinthian futsal is going through a process of reformulation. The team was assembled with a leaner squad and a large participation of athletes trained in the youth categories, a consequence of the cost reduction policy adopted by the club. Throughout the season, performance fluctuated, especially in the National League, where Corinthians went seven rounds without winning before the reaction against Tubarão.
In addition to the objective of confirming the recovery, the confrontation could also represent an advance in the LNF classification. Corinthians currently occupies 12th place, with eight points, and a victory could bring the team closer to the top of the table, as well as widening the gap to the bottom of the table.
