Corinthians rocks in futsal and wins two consecutive victories for the first time since April

Corinthians is experiencing its best recent moment in the futsal season. After going through a period of instability in the National Futsal League (LNF), Timão once again managed two consecutive victories for the first time since the beginning of April. The second triumph in the sequence took place last Tuesday (30), when the team beat Wimpro Guarulhos 5 x 1, at Ginásio Wlamir Marques, for the Campeonato Paulista.
Before that, the club had already beaten Tubarão 3 x 1, last Saturday (27), in the tenth round of the National League. The result marked the end of a fast of almost three months without victories in the country's main competition and placed Corinthians back in the playoff classification zone.

The last time the team had achieved two positive results in a row was between the 3rd and 8th of April. On that occasion, Timão defeated Magnus 2 x 0, in the National League, on the 3rd, and, five days later, beat MRW/Ocian Praia Grande 4 x 0, in the Campeonato Paulista.
After that sequence, Corinthians began to alternate negative results in both competitions. In the LNF, the club went seven consecutive matches without winning, accumulating five defeats and two draws between April 18th and June 21st. The fast was only ended with the victory against Tubarão, at Wlamir Marques.
In the Campeonato Paulista, the team also suffered fluctuations, being defeated by MX7 before winning again in the most recent round against Wimpro Guarulhos.
The recent sequence shows a recovery for the team led by Fernando Malafaia. In addition to scoring again in the National League, Corinthians regained their confidence on the eve of an important sequence of the season.

With the victory over Tubarão, Corinthians returned to the classification zone for the National League playoffs and momentarily left the zone destined for the play-off against relegation. In the State Championship, the triumph over Wimpro reinforced the good phase and increased the team's confidence for the rest of the season.
Timão's next commitment will be again in the National Futsal League. The team visits Umuarama this Saturday(4), at 7:30 pm (Brasília time), at Ginásio Amário Vieira da Costa, in Paraná.
