In the late afternoon of this Wednesday (1), Corinthians published, in the CBF's Daily Newsletter (BID), the contract termination of 18-year-old striker Kawê Klayver. The player was part of a list of 29 athletes outside the club's plans after the end of the 2026 Copa São Paulo de Futebol Jr. Of this total, only Luis Paulo, Ygor Lessa, Kaio Vinicius, Felipe Romio and Léo Agostinho have ties with Alvinegro and are looking for new destinations to continue their careers.
In relation to Kawe's departure, the Timão Central, until now, continues to determine the athlete's new destination and what percentage of the athlete's economic rights are maintained by Corinthians with an eye on future negotiations. The article, in case of new information, will be updated. The negotiation in question is part of the management alignment of department executive Erasmo Damiani, who has been releasing athletes outside of plans and with little drafting in the base, maintaining, on the other hand, part of their rights and, at the same time, reducing costs.

In the U20 category, at the moment, coach William Batista has the following options available for the offensive sector: Nicollas, Luiz Fernando 'Luizinho', Luiz Fábio 'Favela', Jonathan 'Dodô', Nicolas Araújo, Gustavo Corrêa and Cristian Júnior. Drude and Gui Bom are recovering from injuries in the medical department.
Last year, for the Under-17s, Kawê Klayver scored eight goals and provided three assists. Playing in all games as a starter, he recorded 22 wins, six draws and nine defeats, recording a 65% success rate. Last year, only midfielder Gui Amorim (19), striker Gui Bom (11) and defender Iago Machado (9) scored more goals in the category.
Base reformulation
In March of this year, Central do Timão brought an exclusive article in which it stated that, in January, 34 players, considering Under-17s and 20s, terminated their contracts with Timão, which had generated savings of R$1.9 million to the club's coffers. In the sector, the annual cost containment stipulated by the Corinthian board comes close to R$9 million, as the report found out at the time.
Among all categories, in the period from June to December 2025, 182 players were released, which generated a projected saving of R$3.7 million per year for the training department.
