Long before wearing the Corinthians shirt, Andressa Alves built a distinguished career in European football. The Brazilian attacking midfielder played for important clubs on the continent throughout her career and had one of her most memorable periods defending Barcelona, between 2016 and 2019.

During her time with the Catalan team, the player participated in 70 matches and scored 25 goals. During this period, he helped the club win two Copa de la Reina titles and three editions of the Copa Catalunya. At the same time, the men's Barcelona was going through a historic phase, driven by the famous MSN trio, formed by Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez and Neymar.

The coexistence between the men's and women's departments of the Spanish club provided special moments for Andressa. In an interview with Casa Cazé TV, released this Tuesday, a few hours before Argentina's debut in the World Cup against Algeria - Argentina won 3-0, with three goals scored by number 10 -, the athlete recalled her proximity to some of the main names in world football at that time.

"Very cool (at that time). We had this interaction between men's and women's football. It was the time of the MSN trio, so I met Suárez too, Neymar was flying at that time", said Andressa Alves, adding on the support that Messi gave to the team's women's sport. "Messi, like all the players, congratulated our team, the team. It was about player reviews, that sort of thing," he added.

Currently, Andressa is part of the Brazilian women's team group that is participating in a period of training. Alongside her, six other Corinthians athletes were also called up: goalkeepers Nicole Ramos and Ana Morganti, right-back Ivana Fuso, midfielder Ana Vitória and attackers Jaqueline and Jhonson.

As Brabas will only return to the pitch on July 17th. On that occasion, Corinthians will face Ferroviária, at Fazendinha, in a duel valid for the Campeonato Paulista Feminino.
