In the late afternoon of this Wednesday (3), Corinthians officially renewed its contract with Indigo, responsible for managing the Neo Química Arena parking lot since 2018, for the next 12 years. The company will pass on 35% of monthly net revenue to the club, in addition to financing the construction of another two thousand new seats in the Upper East sector of the stadium.

The renewal also includes the forgiveness of debts left by previous directors - estimated at R$ 2.5 million - that the club still had with the company. Furthermore, from 2030 onwards, Indigo will pay Corinthians R$13 million for the transfer of the use of the space. On Alvinegro's official website, president Osmar Stabile commented on the new agreement.

"This is another important step towards the financial and structural strengthening of our Arena. The agreement with Indigo represents a strategic partnership that goes far beyond the current operation and paves the way for the modernization and expansion of fundamental spaces, whose expansion project and approvals are already underway with the competent bodies", he said.

Unlike what happened in the 2014 World Cup and at the opening of the 2024 and 2025 NFL editions, where temporary stands were installed, Corinthians revealed that the capacity of the Arena, with the new seats, should jump from 48,905 to 51 thousand people.

"This agreement signed with Indigo is the result of a serious, transparent negotiation conducted with great respect between the parties. I would like to thank Indigo for the partnership and for the trust in the potential of Neo Química Arena. From the beginning, we found a company willing to build joint solutions, thinking not only about the present, but also about the future of the club", added the president of Corinthians.

Change in relation to the previous model

The management of the Neo Química Arena parking lot has been the subject of internal discussions in recent years. Members of the club believed that the current contract offered a low financial return to Corinthians, even with the operation being carried out in a structure belonging to the black and white heritage.

During 2025, different possibilities were analyzed by the board. Among them were proposals from other companies interested in taking over the operation of the parking lot and models that would guarantee a greater participation of the club in the revenue generated.

One of the companies that participated in these conversations was MultiPark, which advanced in negotiations to take over the management of the space. The negotiations, however, were not concluded, and Corinthians continued talks with Indigo until reaching the new agreement.

Contract history

The partnership between Corinthians and Indigo began in 2018. At the time, the company took over the operation of the Arena parking lot through a contract signed during Andrés Sanchez's management.

The original agreement provided for conditions that limited changes to the contract during the first years of validity. Furthermore, there were clauses relating to possible terminations and financial obligations between the parties.

Over the years, the model began to be questioned internally due to the low return for the club. The topic was analyzed by internal committees and was also part of administrative debates involving different administrations.

In 2025, the discussion gained strength again after evaluations of the possibility of reformulating the contract and the search for alternatives that would provide greater participation for Corinthians in the financial results of the operation.
