Corinthians officially announces the arrival of reinforcements for the futsal team

Late this Tuesday night (2), the Corinthians futsal team made official on their social networks the arrival of a reinforcement for the continuation of the season. This is winger Uhelliton Bonfim de Souza, known as OitoMeia, aged 39, who had been playing for Petrarca Calcio, in Italy, for four seasons.
"IT'S TIMÃO! After four seasons in Italian futsal, the experienced winger OitoMeia arrives at Corinthians Futsal to reinforce the team for the remainder of the 2026 season. Welcome and good luck!", said Alvimegro in a post on social media.

OitoMeia has already used the structures of the Ginásio Wlamir Marques to carry out physiotherapy with a professional from the club, despite not having a contract at the time. The experienced player is Corinthians' third signing for the sport, which had already acquired Kevin and Fabinho. The first, however, has already left Parque São Jorge due to adaptation issues.
Natural from Guarulhos, Greater São Paulo, OitoMeia's entire career was linked to the sporting environment, going through schools, futsal and field football. When he was 17 years old, he had experience in professional football, playing for Brasiliense (2004) and Sobradinho (2005). His main moment in futsal took place between 2013 and 2020, when he defended the colors of Jaraguá, from Santa Catarina, one of the most traditional teams in futsal. In 2016, he had a brief spell at Marreco.
The athlete arrives at Corinthians looking to improve the team's performance this season. In the National League, Alvinegro has just four points in seven rounds and occupies only 13th place out of 16 teams, fighting against relegation. In turn, in the Campeonato Paulista, Timão is in third place with 10 points in four games - three wins and a draw - 14 goals scored and one conceded.
