Corinthians offered solidarity after a serious accident with a bus carrying students and athletes from Juazeiro do Norte Basketball, in Ceará, left 7 dead and 30 injured on CE-187, near the district of Santa Teresa, in Tauá.
Through social media, Timão expressed solidarity with family, friends and others affected by the tragedy, highlighting that situations like this result in the loss of young athletes who carried dreams.

"Sport Club Corinthians Paulista expresses its solidarity with family, friends and people affected by the tragedy that occurred on the CE-187 highway, near the district of Santa Teresa, in Tauá. The accident resulted in seven victims from the Clube Basquete de Juazeiro do Norte.
Sport loses when tragedies like this occur. We lost young athletes who carried dreams and hope."

In the early hours of this Monday (15), a bus carrying students from Juazeiro do Norte overturned and killed 7 people, in addition to leaving another 30 injured.
According to information from the Ceará Fire Department, the victims were part of the city's basketball team, and were returning from Sobral after competing in the Copa Sobral 2026, where the under-19 team lifted the category trophy.
The victims are:
- Marcos Miguel da Silva, 22 years old, member of the technical team (under-19 team);
- Henrique Ferreira Bezerra, 17 years old, athlete (under-19 team);
- João Paulo Sampaio de Alencar, 18 years old, athlete (under-19 team); Rodrigues Fratta, 16 years old, athlete (under-19 team);
- Jonatas Samuel do Santos Lopes, 15 years old, athlete (under-15 team);
- Matheus Henrique Ferreira Martins, 15 years old, athlete (under-15 team).
In total, more than 40 passengers, including athletes and coaching staff, were on the bus. Firefighters who worked on the incident reported that the survivors had minor abrasions on their bodies. Some received medical attention and have already been released by the Tauá hospital.
"Of the 28 members of the delegation who have ties to the state education network, 21 are currently enrolled students and seven are former students", informed the Department of Education.
