While the Corinthians women's squad takes advantage of the off-season to intensify preparations for the 2026 season, the board works behind the scenes to ensure the permanence of athletes considered important to the group. Among them is striker Ariel Godoi, who has already started talks to extend her contract with the club, according to information released by Meu Timão.
Negotiations are still in the initial phase, but expectations are positive. The intention is for the striker, currently linked to Corinthians until December 31, 2026, to renew her commitment for another two seasons.

Ariel arrived at Parque São Jorge at the beginning of 2025, after playing for São Paulo. Before that, he also spent time at Red Bull Bragantino, São José, Fluminense, Taubaté and Ponte Preta.
The hiring took place during the management of coach Lucas Piccinato, with the aim of increasing alternatives for the offensive sector. Since then, the player has been used mainly off the bench or in matches in which the coaching staff opted to preserve part of the starting lineup.
In his first season for Corinthians, Ariel entered the field 41 times and found the net on ten occasions. In 2026, he played nine matches and scored five goals. Between the two years, he accumulated 50 games with the black and white shirt, recording 33 wins, nine draws and eight defeats, in addition to being part of the champion squad of the Brazilian Championship and Libertadores in 2025.
Under the command of Emily Lima, the striker experienced one of the club's most notable moments. In May this year, he scored three times in the 6-0 defeat of Red Bull Bragantino, in a duel valid for the second round of the Campeonato Paulista, played at the Benito Agnelo Castellano Stadium.
Currently, Ariel competes for space mainly with Gabi Zanotti and Jhonson, although she is also used on the wings when necessary.
In recent days, the Corinthians board also began negotiations to renew the contract of Colombian striker Gisela Robledo, whose contract ends on August 31, 2026.
In addition to them, six other players are heading towards the final months of their contracts: goalkeepers Ana Morganti and Lelê, defenders Agustina Barroso and Thaís Regina, attacking midfielder Vic Albuquerque and striker Carol Nogueira. All of them have a contract until the end of December and, therefore, are now able to sign a pre-contract with any other team.
While conducting negotiations to maintain the base of the squad, Corinthians remains focused on preparing for the return of official competitions. Brabas' next appointment will be on July 17th, at 7pm, against Ferroviária, in Fazendinha, for the fourth round of the Campeonato Paulista. With four points won, the team occupies second place in the State and is trying to reduce the advantage of the Araraquara team, leader of the competition with nine points.
