Corinthians midfielder mocks CBF for game time against Ferroviária in the Copa do Brasil

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) made official, on the afternoon of this Tuesday (30), the details of the games of the round of 16 of the 2026 Women's Copa do Brasil. Corinthians will face Ferroviária on July 23, Thursday, at 3pm, at Arena Fonte Luminosa, in Araraquara. On her social networks, midfielder Gabi Zanotti commented on a publication on the Meu Timão portal and criticized the entity's decision.

"Very attractive time for the public to go to the stadium and watch it on TV. They manage to overcome themselves in each round. Congratulations to those involved", he said, in a post on Instagram. In the third phase, precisely with a goal from Zanotti, Timão eliminated Palmeiras by winning 1 x 0 at Allianz Parque. The national knockout tournament was returned to the sport's calendar last year, after nine years without being held.

Throughout its history in the sport, Corinthians has already won the Copa do Brasil once. When the team had a partnership with Osasco Audax, in 2016, the Parque São Jorge club beat São José by a score of 5 x 3 on aggregate - 2 x 2 in the first leg and 3 x 1 in the return.

In 2026, Corinthians and Ferroviária have already faced each other once. On April 24, Alvinegro beat Ferrinha 3 x 1, at Fazendinha, in the classification phase of the Brazilian Women's Championship. Throughout history, there are 30 victories for Brabas, 10 draws and only one defeat - 89 goals scored and 23 conceded.

The Brabas will officially return to the pitch on July 17th, at 7pm (Brasília time), at the Alfredo Schürig Stadium, Fazendinha, for the fourth round of the first phase of the 2026 Women's Paulista Championship. In the first three rounds, Emily Lima's men scored four points and occupy second place.

Since April 2018 at Corinthians, Gabi Zanotti has accumulated 95 goals and 39 assists in 269 games (217 as a starter), with 208 wins, 39 draws and 22 defeats - 82.16% success rate. In addition, there are 18 titles won between the Brazilian Championship, Copa do Brasil, Paulistão, Conmebol Libertadores and Supercopa do Brasil.
