The Brazilian Women's Team will face, on Saturday night (6), at 6:30 pm (Brasília time), the United States, at the Neo Química Arena, in a friendly preparatory game for the 2027 World Cup, which will be hosted on Brazilian soil. The duel against the Americans is special for Duda Sampaio, Corinthians midfielder, who completes 50 games wearing the Amarelinha shirt.
Before holding a press conference after training in Itaquera, he received a commemorative shirt from coach Arthur Elias and board member Cris Gambaré. Timão's number 27 shirt commented on the feeling of reaching the significant milestone, highlighting that it still does not have the scale of what this number represents.

"Without a doubt, I'm very happy at the moment. I think I still don't realize how big it is to complete 50 games for the Brazilian team. I remember the first calls up, always with that anxiety. And being able to experience that today, even after so long defending the team, still with the same intention of being here to improve, is very special", he began.
Later, he spoke about his relationship with Arthur Elias, with whom he worked at Corinthians in 2023, winning the Campeonato Paulista, Brasileirão and Conmebol Libertadores together. She also cited the importance of the Parque São Jorge club in reaching the Seleção, highlighting that, at the moment, she is in no rush to leave Alvinegro.
"I have a lot of affection for the entire coaching staff, but especially for Arthur, for all the history we built working together at Corinthians. Without a doubt, this gives me even more confidence to be able to enjoy the moments on the field."
"The World Cup, yes, there's a lot to it, but today I work in a team that gives us full support so we can continue developing. I think, for me, that's what's fundamental, right? Being in a place where I can develop, regardless of whether it's tactical, technical, physical. So, I think this work that Corinthians has, that's very important," he continued.
She continued by stating that the focus is entirely on Brabas and to continue being called up by the country she represents: "I speak for myself, right? So far, there hasn't been a proposal that really entices me to leave. And I say that openly, I'm always very focused on Corinthians, regardless of what comes from outside, what conversations they've already had."
"But today my main objective is to continue playing for Corinthians and be here in the national team. So, I think that, having been happening for so long, I don't have that rush, I don't have that necessary thought of leaving. I think that being in a place where it makes me grow, being here in the national team, having recurring call-ups, that for me is fundamental", he said.
Finally, she was asked about her expectations for the game against the United States tonight: "Our work has always been very focused on the game model, the game plan and the strategies for each match. That remains the case. But we managed to improve a lot in each phase of the game. I'm sure we arrive much more prepared now."
"Facing the United States is always a great opportunity. It's a game that tests us physically, mentally and technically. Thinking about the World Cup, which is getting closer and closer, these opportunities are fundamental. I'm sure we're more prepared today than in that previous confrontation", he concluded.
Duda Sampaio arrived at Corinthians in 2023, after standing out for Internacional. Since then, he has scored 30 goals and 25 assists in 121 games (93 as a starter), with 86 wins, 23 draws and 12 losses - 77.41% success rate. In addition, there are eight titles won: Campeonato Paulista (2023), Supercopa do Brasil (2024), Conmebol Libertadores (2023, 2024 and 2025) and Brasileirão (2023, 2024 and 2025).
