Corinthians maintains negative streak against São Paulo in the Under-17 category

Corinthians hosted São Paulo, during the afternoon of last Monday (1), at Estádio do Canindé, in the second round of the classification phase of the 2026 Brazilian Under-17 Championship, and ended up drawing 1 x 1. Filhos do Terrão's goal was scored by midfielder Léo Rodrigues, after a pass from Léo Amistá. The point added meant that the Corinthians team reached four points.

With the result, the Parque São Jorge club reached the fifth game without beating São Paulo in the Under-17 category. Timãozinho's last victory over its rival took place in October 2024, when Alvinegro won 2 x 1, in the first game of the Campeonato Paulista, played at the Alfredo Schürig Stadium, Fazendinha. In the return duel, Timão was defeated 3 x 2 and said goodbye to the tournament.

In Corinthians U17's last victory against São Paulo, the team, at the time led by Raphael Laruccia, entered the field with: Arthur Borghi; Lucas Souza, Pedro Paulo, Lorenzo and Miguel; Caraguá, Vitinho Dourado and Dieguinho; Lucas Molina, Luiz Fernando 'Luizinho' and Gui Negão. Of these starters, Dieguinho and Gui Negão are already part of the professional squad.

Since then, there have been two draws and three defeats - five goals scored and eight conceded. In the last eight years, the teams have faced each other in 20 games, with seven wins for each side and six draws - 24 goals scored and 26 conceded. Now, Corinthians returns its focus to competing in the Paulista Under-17 Championship. Next Saturday (6), Alvinegro will host AD Centro Olímpico, at 11am (Brasília time), at the Ninho do Corvo Stadium.

Currently, Filhos do Terrão occupy second place in Group 15 with nine points - three wins and one defeat - 14 goals scored and four conceded.

Corinthians haven't beaten São Paulo in the Under-17 category since October 2024:
