Corinthians loses unbeaten record against São Lourenço and is eliminated from the LNF Cup
Corinthians Futsal ended its participation in the 2026 LNF Cup in the round of 16. On the afternoon of last Saturday (13), Timão faced São Lourenço, in Santa Catarina, and was defeated 4 x 1, in an upset, at the Multisport Gymnasium of the Municipal Early Childhood Education Center (CEIM) Monteiro Lobato.
The black and white team opened the scoring during the match, but suffered a reaction from the home team in the second stage and ended up leaving the national competition. With the result, Corinthians also lost the unbeaten record they had in their history against São Lourenço.

Before the decisive duel, Corinthians and São Lourenço had faced each other three times, with two wins for Timão and one draw. The positive retrospect began in 2023, precisely in the Santa Catarina team's first season in the National Futsal League (LNF).
The first meeting took place on May 19, 2023, at Ginásio Wlamir Marques, by LNF. On that occasion, Corinthians won 3 x 0, with goals from Luisinho, Tatinho and Lucas Martins, who remains in the black and white squad.
In 2024, the teams faced each other again, this time in Santa Catarina. Corinthians won again, 3 x 1, with goals from Deives and Igor Carioca, who scored twice. The result maintained Corinthians' advantage in the match.
In 2025, the duel ended in a draw. For the LNF, the teams finished 2 x 2, at Ginásio Wlamir Marques, with Corinthians goals scored by Igor Carioca and Israel Neto.
The 2026 clash marked a new dispute between the teams, now for the LNF Cup, a competition created to bring together clubs from the two divisions of the national league. The tournament is contested by teams from the main LNF and LNF Silver, the second division of the sport.
Corinthians reached the round of 16 after eliminating Vasco da Gama in the previous phase. Playing in Rio de Janeiro, the team led by Fernando Malafaia won 5 x 1 and advanced to face São Lourenço.
With the elimination, the overall record between Corinthians and São Lourenço now has four matches, with two wins for Timão, a draw and a victory for the team from Santa Catarina. In total, Corinthians scored nine goals in the match, while São Lourenço found the net seven times.
