Corinthians is defeated by Ferroviária and suffers first defeat in the Paulista Feminino U20

On the afternoon of this Wednesday (1st), Corinthians took the field to face Ferroviária, at the CT I9 International Academy, in Ribeirão Preto, in the third round of the Campeonato Paulista Feminino U20, and ended up defeated 3 x 1. The home team's three goals were scored by Júlia Rosado.

With the result, the Brabinhas suffered their first defeat in the state competition and remained with four points, provisionally occupying fourth place in the table. In case of victory, Corinthians would take the lead in the championship. The team can still be overtaken by Portuguesa, which ends the round against Brothers FC.

The setback also put an end to the team's undefeated streak in the U20 season. Before the match, Corinthians had accumulated ten games without losing, with six wins and four draws since the beginning of March.

In the first phase of the Campeonato Paulista Feminino U20, the 12 teams face each other in a single round over 11 rounds. At the end of this stage, the eight best placed teams guarantee a place in the quarter-finals, when the knockout phase of the competition begins.

Arbitration

The match was commanded by referee Roberta Alessandra Maia Soares, assisted by Veridiana Contiliani Bisco and Gabriel Alexandre Tostes Fleming. Saulo Samuel Muniz Felix acted as fourth referee. The match did not feature the use of the video referee (VAR).

Next appointment

The Brabinhas return to the field next Wednesday (8), at 3pm (Brasília time), when they host Brothers FC, at Fazendinha, for the fourth round of the Campeonato Paulista Feminino U20.
