Corinthians has been confirmed and will be the only Brazilian team to compete in the second edition of MICFootball Punta Cana, which will be held between the 24th and 29th of June in the Dominican Republic. The tournament, which brings together teams from the most diverse parts of the world, will take Alvinegro to the Under-13 team. The headquarters of the Timãozinho sports complex will be The Fields - Cap Cana Sports City.

The competition is the Caribbean version of the Mediterranean International Cup (MIC), a Spanish tournament that has been taking place for over 20 years and is responsible for showcasing players like Neymar Júnior and Lionel Messi. It is worth mentioning that the U-13 category is made up of athletes born from January 2013 onwards, with up to two athletes born in 2012 being able to register.

The games will be played in the traditional format, 11 against 11, with two halves of 25 minutes. Alvinegro will be the only Brazilian representing the country in this category. In total, 13 teams will participate in the U-13 age group and will be divided into three groups: one with five teams and the other two with four. The first two placed teams will advance to the quarterfinals, in addition to the two best third-placed teams.

Filhos do Terrão will play their first match in the competition on June 25th, against Proyecto JDB, from Puerto Rico, at 4:30 pm (Brasília time). The following day, they will face Real Deportivo from the Dominican Republic, at 9:30 am, and will play the third game on the same day against Barça Academy, at 11:30 am. The other brackets feature teams from Puerto Rico, Mexico, El Salvador and the United States.

If they progress to the knockout phase, Alvinegro will play the quarter-finals on the 27th. The semi-final and the big decision are scheduled for the 28th. In case of elimination in the group stage, Timãozinho will continue to play, but for the consolation phase, held on the same dates mentioned. In the U13 Paulista Championship, so far, the team led by Herlon Silva has six wins in six games and leads Group 9 - 40 goals scored (6.6 per game) and none conceded.
