Corinthians will be represented at the 2026 World Cup only by Memphis Depay, who will compete in the tournament for the Dutch national team. Along with seven other clubs, Timão is among the Brazilian teams that had the fewest players called up to compete in the competition.
According to a survey carried out by the website Meu Timão, in addition to Alvinegro there are Botafogo, Santos, São Paulo, Fluminense, Vasco, Athletico and Red Bull Bragantino, who also have just one athlete called up for the World Cup. Meanwhile, Flamengo leads the list with nine selected.

Corinthians narrowly missed out on goalkeeper Hugo Souza in the 2026 World Cup. Despite being a constant presence in Carlo Ancelotti's last squads before the World Cup, the Timão goalkeeper ended up being passed over and left out of the final list.
The Brazilian team will feature goalkeepers Alisson (Liverpool), Ederson (Fenerbahçe) and Weverton (Grêmio). Interestingly, this is the first time that the Seleção uses the same trio of goalkeepers for the tournament.
