Corinthians has two representatives on the list of those called up for the Brazilian Under-17 Futsal Team

In the late afternoon of this Tuesday (7), the list of those called up by the Brazilian Under-17 Futsal Team, led by coach Diogo Barros, was published, with a view to competing in the category's South American Championship. In the list published by Amarelinha, two Corinthians representatives were present: goalkeeper Cauã Gamba and regular Cauã Farias.

The competition in question will take place in Luque, Paraguay, between the 9th and 16th of August. The preparation, however, will take place between August 2nd and 5th, at the Phillipe Coutinho Institute, in Rio de Janeiro. Brazil is in bracket B along with Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru. The two Corinthians athletes will be looking to win an unprecedented title in the history of Amarelinha.

Canarinho's first match in the tournament will be on August 9th, against Ecuador. Soon after, they will face Bolivia (10th), Peru (12th) and finish the first phase on the 13th. Only the top two in each group will advance to the semi-finals.

The Brazilian team in the category seeks to win the South American Championship for the first time since 2016, when they won the first edition of the tournament, beating Argentina 4 x 2 in the decision. In 2024, the Argentines returned and beat Amarelinha by a score of 2 x 0 in the final.
