With the Brazilian Championship halted for the World Cup, Corinthians is already starting to look to the next transfer window. While the board evaluates possible arrivals and departures for the remainder of the season, part of the black and white squad has already reached an important limit established by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).

According to the competition regulations, athletes who have played more than 12 matches for a club in Series A cannot defend another team in the same division during the current edition of the tournament. In the Corinthians squad, 12 players have already reached this mark and, even if they are traded, they will not be able to play for another national elite team in 2026.

The list includes names considered to be part of the team led by Fernando Diniz. Goalkeeper Hugo Souza is in this situation; full-backs Matheus Bidu and Matheuzinho; defenders Gabriel Paulista and Gustavo Henrique; midfielders Allan, André Carrillo, André Luiz, Breno Bidon, Raniele and Rodrigo Garro; in addition to striker Yuri Alberto.

Among them, Breno Bidon remains one of the most watched athletes on the market. The midfielder trained in the Corinthians youth categories frequently appears in speculations involving Brazilian and international football clubs. Even in the case of a transfer to another Serie A team, however, the player would not be able to play in this year's Brasileirão.

The athlete who took the field the most for Corinthians in the competition is Rodrigo Garro, with 18 matches played. Close behind are Hugo Souza, Breno Bidon and Raniele, all with 16 games played.

On the other hand, a significant portion of the squad has not yet reached the limit set by the CBF. In total, 19 players remain eligible to play for another Serie A team this season if they are traded during the next window.

Among the names are Memphis Depay, Kaio César, Jesse Lingard, Pedro Raul, André Ramalho, Fabrizio Angileri, Charles, Gui Negão, Zakaria Labyad, Vitinho and Matheus Pereira, as well as other athletes who had reduced participation throughout the competition.

Memphis Depay's situation draws attention. The Dutch striker's contract ends at the end of July, and the Corinthians board is working to extend his stay. Internally, the club understands that maintaining number 10 is one of the priorities for the rest of the season.

Currently, Corinthians occupies tenth place in the Brazilian Championship, with 24 points won. The team's return to the competition is scheduled for the second half of July, after the end of the World Cup break.
