Goalkeeper Ana Morganti, one of the promises of Corinthians' youth teams, is part of the Brazilian Under-20 Women's Team during this FIFA Date. Alongside attacking midfielder Dulce Maria, she represents the São Paulo club in preparatory friendlies for the category's World Cup, which will be played in September, in Poland.

According to the Corinthians archer, the technical committee led by Camilla Orlando has encouraged the athletes to approach each commitment as if the World Cup was already underway. The strategy seeks to accelerate the group's adaptation and strengthen rapport before the main competition of the season.

"I think we can really adhere to Camila's idea, that we are already in the World Cup, because everyone who is here wants to be there, so we try to prepare a lot to get there and have a good competition, and seek what has never been achieved before. So the atmosphere is great, we are working hard and understanding each other a lot, trying to fit in as quickly as possible", said the Timão goalkeeper born in 2008.

The U-20 squad was announced at the end of May for a series of three friendlies in Portugal. In the debut, played on June 3, Brazil was beaten by Finland's U23 team 4-1, a duel in which Morganti started as a starter. Three days later, the Brazilian team reacted and beat South Korea 3-1, with the Corinthians team among the substitutes. The last preparation challenge takes place next Tuesday, at 5pm, in front of the Portuguese hosts.

For the goalkeeper, the sequence of matches plays an important role not only in the technical aspect, but also in the physical and mental construction of the squad, as it reproduces a scenario similar to what will be found in the group stage of the World Cup.

"For us, this moment of preparation is very important, because coincidentally there are three games that correspond exactly to our group stage, with a very similar interval between games. So we are already trying to prepare both physically, mentally and tactically, thinking about adapting quickly to what the World Cup may demand of us", said Morganti.

Even after the setback against Finland, Ana continues to be considered one of the main goalkeepers of her generation in Brazilian football. A member of Corinthians' youth teams since 2022, she received her first opportunity in the Under-17 Team in 2023, when she was just 14 years old. Since then, he has been regularly called up to the youth teams and was present at the 2024 and 2025 U-17 World Cups.

In addition to participating in the preparation of the U20 team, Morganti also gained an opportunity with the main team. Coach Arthur Elias called her for a training period scheduled between June 15th and 20th, in Itu, in the interior of São Paulo. The activity is part of the planning for the 2027 Women's World Cup.

"It was a very happy moment, I think everyone here works for this to happen one day, so it was the reward for a long time of work. It's always an opportunity to learn a lot and to show my work. So I'm going with the best possible expectations, very light and calm to make a good call-up", concluded Morganti, who had already participated in activities with the main team in 2025.

With a contract signed with Corinthians until December 2026, the goalkeeper currently divides her routine between the U20 team, where she accumulates more minutes on the field, and the Brabas professional squad, in which she continues to gradually gain experience and space.
