Corinthians gains financial strength to invest in Gabi Nunes after new sponsorship

Corinthians could gain an important reinforcement outside the four lines to try to achieve one of the main objectives of the women's football transfer window. According to Meu Timão, with the arrival of Fatal Fans as the club's new sponsor, Timão now has a more favorable financial scenario to invest in signing striker Gabi Nunes, currently free on the market.
The new sponsorship agreement foresees an investment of R$22 million until December 2027, covering men's and women's football, as well as futsal and basketball teams. With the increase compared to the previous contract, the expectation is that the women's sport will also receive a larger share of the resources.

In addition, Corinthians requested that more than 60% of the contract value be advanced in the first 90 days of the partnership. The sponsor accepted the condition, which should provide greater liquidity to the club in the coming weeks.
With this new scenario, the tendency is for the black and white board to present a new attack on Gabi Nunes. The first proposal was rejected because the salary values were below the athlete's expectations, but the conversations were never closed.
Behind the scenes, there is confidence that an agreement can evolve. The striker prioritizes a return to Corinthians if she returns to Brazilian football, although she is also analyzing proposals from European football, the United States and Mexico. The financial issue remains the main point for a positive outcome.
While defining her future, Gabi Nunes remains training in São Paulo under the supervision of a personal trainer. In recent days, the attacker published images wearing a Corinthians shirt during an activity, a gesture that further increased speculation about a possible return to Parque São Jorge.
The desire to have the attacker again is also shared by the coaching staff. Before the calendar was stopped, coach Emily Lima revealed that she recommended the signing of the player to the board and highlighted the importance of the club acting quickly in the market.
"Gabi is a player with whom I was able to work with in the youth and main teams. She is a spectacular player and person. We cannot give our opponents an opening. She will be, if everything goes well, very welcome. She has a great affinity with the club and the fans", said Emily Lima.
The attacker knows the black and white environment well. In his first spell at Corinthians, between 2016 and 2021, he played 115 matches, won five titles and marked his time with the Brabas shirt. Throughout this period, she found the net 77 times and distributed 20 assists, becoming the fourth highest scorer in the team's history, behind only Grazi, Gabi Zanotti and Vic Albuquerque.
After leaving the club, Gabi went to Spanish football, where he played for Madrid CFF and Levante. In 2024, he agreed to transfer to Aston Villa, in England. For the English team, he played 23 matches, scored six goals and provided one assist. In the 2025/26 season, however, he took to the field just once after undergoing surgery to treat a herniated disc in his lower back.
In addition to the attempt to repatriate Gabi Nunes, Corinthians intends to use part of the new resources to reorganize the women's department. Among the priorities are the regularization of the cast's image rights, which still have pending issues, and planning for contract renewals for athletes who end their contracts during the season.
Among them, Gisela Robledo has a contract valid until the end of August. Lelê, Vic Albuquerque, Thaís Regina, Ana Morganti, Agustina, Carol Nogueira and Ariel Godoi have contracts until December, and the board is already evaluating the situation of each one for the continuation of the Brabas project.
