Corinthians: Fernando Diniz breaks historic Libertadores record

In Corinthians' draw with Peñarol this Thursday (21), Fernando Diniz achieved the feat of coach with the greatest unbeaten record in the history of the Copa Libertadores.

Diniz's last defeat in the Libertadores was on June 7, 2023, when the Fluminense he led lost 2-0 to River Plate, in the group stage.

Since then, there have been 19 games, 12 wins and seven draws, in addition to a title with Tricolor Carioca in 2023. For Corinthians, there have been six matches, three draws and three wins.

Corinthians closes the group stage next Wednesday (27), at 9:30 pm, at Neo Química Arena. Timão is already classified and guaranteed first in Group E.
