Corinthians face Ferroviária in the round of 16 of the Women's Copa do Brasil

Corinthians met their next opponent in the 2026 Brazilian Women's Cup this Monday (15). In a draw carried out by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), at 3pm (Brasília time), at the entity's headquarters, in Rio de Janeiro, Brabas were defined as visitors in the round of 16 clash against Ferroviária.
The phase will be played in a single match, with field command defined by the draw. If the duel ends in a draw within regular time, classification for the quarter-finals will be decided on penalties. The clash between Corinthians and Ferroviária is scheduled for Wednesday (22) July. The CBF will also officially announce the times and locations of the matches.

Path to octaves
Corinthians secured a place in the next phase after eliminating Palmeiras in the third phase of the competition. In a unique duel held at Allianz Parque, on May 30th, Brabas beat their rival 1-0, with a goal from Gabi Zanotti in the final minutes of the match.
Ferroviária, in turn, advanced after scoring an 8 x 0 defeat over UDA-AL and also ensuring its presence among the 16 classified teams. In total, 16 clubs remain alive in the dispute for the Brazilian Women's Cup title. The draw was carried out without division into pots or confrontation restrictions.
History against the Railway
Since the resumption of women's football at Corinthians in 2016, the Parque São Jorge club has faced Ferroviária on 41 occasions. The record is favorable to Brabas, with 30 Corinthian victories, ten draws and just one defeat. During the period, Corinthians scored 89 goals and conceded 23 against the Araraquara team.
The only setback came on August 24, 2022, in the Campeonato Paulista, when Ferroviária won 2 x 1 at the Nogueirão Stadium. The last meeting between the teams ended with a 3 x 1 black and white victory, on April 24, 2026, for the Brazilian Women's Championship. On that occasion, Jaqueline scored twice and Jhonson completed the scoring for Corinthians.
Search by second title
Corinthians is looking to win the Brazilian Women's Cup again. The team lifted the cup in 2016, still in partnership with Osasco Audax, after beating São José in the decision.
In the 2025 edition, the competition returned to the women's football calendar after nine years of absence. Corinthians eliminated Cruzeiro on penalties in the third phase and got past Juventude in the round of 16, but ended up being eliminated in the quarter-finals by São Paulo.
Upcoming appointments
During the break in the national calendar due to the World Cup, the Corinthians squad goes on vacation. Brabas returns to work on June 24th. The team's next official match is scheduled for July 17th, against Ferroviária itself, in the fourth round of the Campeonato Paulista Feminino, at Fazendinha.
