Corinthians debuts in the Brazilian Under-20 Women's Championship with victory over São Bento

Corinthians started their journey in the Paulista Women's Under-20 Championship on the right foot. On Sunday afternoon, the Brabinhas beat São Bento 3-0, at the Walter Ribeiro Stadium, in Sorocaba. The goals in the black and white debut were scored by Emelym and Maria Dafhiny, who found the net on two occasions.

For her first commitment at the State Championships, coach Julia Passero climbed Timão with Sophia Trindade; Debora Emilly, Dany Pereira and Brunna Meer; Gabi Pires, Gabriela Jordi, Carol Melo, Helô Camargo and Emelym; Maria Dafhiny and Dulce Maria. São Bento started the match with Stefany; Bianca, Giovanna, Tarsila and Gabi Sol; Damarys, Tomagnoli and Gaby; Lívia, Novinha and Ana Alice.

Superior from the opening minutes, Corinthians took control of the action and it didn't take long to turn their dominance into an advantage on the scoreboard. After taking advantage of a cross in the area, Emelym appeared well to finish and put Brabinhas ahead at the beginning of the match.

Before the break, the Parque São Jorge team widened the gap. Maria Dafhiny took advantage of the opportunity created by the offensive sector and scored Corinthians' second goal, taking the team to the dressing room with a comfortable lead.

In the complementary stage, the pace of the match decreased, but the scenario remained favorable to the black and white team. With more possession of the ball and control of the game, Corinthians continued to create the best opportunities until Maria Dafhiny appeared decisively again. The striker scored once again, clinching the 3-0 victory and ending her debut with a great performance.

The Brabinhas' next appointment has already been scheduled. On Wednesday, in the second round of the Paulista Women's Under-20 Championship, Corinthians will host São Paulo at Fazendinha. The ball drops at 3pm.
